Notes: Today is [personal profile] sionnain's birthday! So I wrote her this fic, because she's awesome. bb, we had our mushy conversation yesterday about how much ILU, but it bears repeating, so: ILU WITH ALL THE GLITTERY GLUE SNUGGLY SOULBONDEDNESS IN THE UNIVERSE. Happy Birthday! :D

Title: i think you're swell (but i ain't gonna tell you so)
Author: [personal profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Alt-Country RPF
Pairing: Ryan Adams/Rhett Miller
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2,604
Summary: Maybe he can't remember what the next line is.
Notes: You guys, IDEK. Ryan Adams is an asshole. Rhett Miller is the Nicest Guy in the World. Naturally, this is where my brain goes. Title is from the Old 97's song "Stoned", which is not one of their songs about Ryan Adams, though it probably could be. If you tinhat it a little. Thanks to [personal profile] sionnain for beta-ing! <3

Title: you're so pretty in the city of industry
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Canada RPF
Pairing: Molly Parker/Tracy Wright
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 1945
Summary: Callum is classy, Don is oblivious, and girls get theirs on the set of "Twitch City".

Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] meresy's C6D porn tag game. This is part of a larger story that refused to conform to the 24-hour time constraint I had in which to write. Alas, my prompt ("empire") and some of my most favourite bits are in the unfinished beginning of the story, so I will soon have to finish the whole thing and post. For now, have the porn!

Hurry up and wait. )

So [livejournal.com profile] akamine_chan has issued a challenge to write one (porny) snippet a day for a week, using the [livejournal.com profile] ds_snippets amnesty prompts. This week is too busy for me to manage all seven days, but I am going to try to do as many as possible in the hopes of regaining my 'fu.

Title: in the (post-tequila) morning
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Flashpoint
Pairing: Spike/Lew
Word Count: ~1,500
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None
Summary: Spike has a hangover, and Lew is not at all sympathetic.
Notes: I needed a break from my depressing as hell [livejournal.com profile] ds_c6d_bigbang story, so I wrote unrelated fluff for the [livejournal.com profile] c6d_universe challenge "mortal sins". Yes, I wrote fluff about sins. I'm just like that. :D

He definitely remembers tequila. )

Title: The Hint of a Spark
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: The Invisible
Characters/Pairing: Brian Larson, Kate Tunney; Brian/OMC (with references to past Brian/OFC)
Word Count: 31,008
Rating: R
Spoilers: Yes, for the whole movie, including some of the deleted scenes.
Warnings: Canon character death, dark themes, mild language and sexytimes, as well as brief mentions of an abusive relationship and a miscarriage (not related incidents).
Summary: He blinks his eyes into focus, surprised by the darkness of the room. Groaning, he rolls onto his side and fumbles for the phone, sparing a second to look at the digital alarm clock next to the bed. It's not even six in the morning, and that gives him a sinking feeling deep in his gut. The only reason anyone gets a phone call this early is when it's bad news.

Notes: Okay, so this monster of a fic was written for [livejournal.com profile] lucifuge_5 as part of [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti. It is, essentially, a retelling of the movie from the POV of a character who is not a whiny teenager. (I like the movie a lot, but I call 'em like I see 'em.) More than that, it's a look at a character from the film that is woefully underdeveloped, and how their life might be affected by the events of the film. Luce, my apologies for the delay, but I do hope you enjoy. :D And of course, a million thank yous to [livejournal.com profile] akamine_chan and [livejournal.com profile] snoopypez for performing beta duties and helping me fix things that were giving me fits. You ladies are AWESOME. \o/

For your convenience, you can read the fic either in four parts on LJ, or all in one go over at AO3, whichever is preferable.

Part 2

Title: on the way back home
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Buried on Sunday/Wilby Wonderful
Pairing: Gus Knickel/Duck MacDonald
Word Count: 1,908 words
Rating: PG
Spoilers: very mild ones for the plot of Buried on Sunday, none for Wilby Wonderful
Summary: February 10, 1993. Gus Knickel has been summoned to Ottawa and forced to deal with the useless tits who make up the Canadian government. On his way back to Solomon-Gundy, he meets another man from Nova Scotia. And to think, all he was hoping for was a decent fish.
Notes: For the C6D Valentine's exchange, [livejournal.com profile] malnpudl requested some sort of Buried on Sunday crossover. This intrigued me, but in order to make it work, I needed a story for it. So I wrote one and sent it along with the actual valentine. At Mal's urging, here it is for all to see. Unbeta-ed.

Title: for the touch of the younger kind
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Californication
Pairing: Lew/Mia
Word Count: 2,819 words
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Lew finds it impossible to resist women, especially ones that are as young, beautiful and limber as Mia is. Especially when he's been told he can't have them.
Warnings: Underage (Mia is 16/17, Lew is so very not.)
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] villainny's Sex is Not the Enemy challenge. This NSFW picture was my prompt. Title is from the song "My Sharona" by The Knack. And of course, many a thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sionnain for betaing! <3

He didn't think it would be this *hard*. )

Ahaha, so remember when I said I'd write drabbles for More Joy Day? Yeah. Here's the first one. "Drabble", lol.

Title: Sometimes You're Up, Sometimes You're Down
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Fandom: Durham County/Due South
Pairing: Mike Sweeney/Ray Kowalski
Word Count: ~4,400 (again: loldrabble)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Ray is having a very bad day, and it's all Mike's fault.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] sionnain, who wanted Mike and Ray! Set more or less in the what else would you have me be? 'verse.

That was a fucking *crime*, okay, a crime against humanity. )

More reveals, this time for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. It's just like re-Christmas, or something!

Firstly, it was [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna who wrote Lesser Fleas, the amazing Thoughtcrimes fic I was gifted with. Seriously, that fic was incredible and I just love it to tiny, tiny pieces. ♥ ♥

I ended up writing two things, one for my original assignment and one for Yuletide Madness. My original assignment was, go figure, for [livejournal.com profile] sionnain. Fandom odds are hilarious, okay. I wrote her (Alternative) Country Music RPF about the final Uncle Tupelo tour in 1994. It was so much fun! My "research" was watching YouTube and MySpace videos, and looking at set lists. *giggles* And I really love how it turned out, so yay. Unsurprisingly, very few people have actually read it (it seems there's not a big market for fic about bands that broke up fifteen years ago, go figure), but Sionn liked it and I had a blast writing it, so that's all that really matters.

And then for Yuletide Madness, I wrote 17 Again porn. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. My brain is a special place, alright?

Title: Not Forever, Just For Now
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] sionnain
Fandom: (Alternative) Country Music RPF
Pairing/Characters: Jay Farrar, Jeff Tweedy, assorted other members and bandfriends of UT
Rating: R
Summary: This tour is the worst idea Tony's ever had. Jay's not surprised.
Notes: \uncle tupelo/ \sionn/ :D! Title from the Uncle Tupelo song "Whiskey Bottle".

Title: today's another day to find you
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Recipient: rumidha
Fandom: 17 Again
Pairing: Mark Gold (teenage Mike)/Scarlett O'Donnell
Rating: NC-17
Summary: On Mark's eighteenth birthday, all he wants is dinner with the O'Donnells. What he gets is a lot more... adult. (Look, there is no plot whatsoever. It's just porn, plain and simple.)
Notes: LOOK HOW I MAGICALLY PUT IN A BIRTHDAY SO IT WASN'T TOTALLY CREEPY. Whatever, this is Disney, I can use whatever hand-wavey logic I please. Title is from the A-ha song "Take On Me".

today's another day to find you

Hurrah, DSSS reveals! This means that I can post what I wrote, and also (much more importantly), I can proclaim [livejournal.com profile] belmanoir to be TOTALLY AWESOME SANTA WHO WROTE ME FRANNIE/KOWALSKI!! If you have not read Getting this happy takes practice, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself and go rectify this immediately. Because it is awesome and I love it and obviously, Susan rocks socks. \susan/

And the thing that I wrote:

Title: Code Words, Diva Fits and Unexpected Arrivals: A Date in Three Clichés
Author: [livejournal.com profile] waltzforanight
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] primroseburrows
Fandom: Due South
Pairing/Characters: Fraser/Thatcher, with a special guest star (Want to know who? Darren Nichols (Slings & Arrows)! :D!)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Meg knew that dating Benton Fraser would never be a normal experience, but this is simply ridiculous.
Notes: Many, many thanks to both [livejournal.com profile] sionnain and [livejournal.com profile] akamine_chan for their invaluable help on both the fic this used to be and what it actually ended up. You girls are awesome!

Her Majesty would have been scandalized.
